Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Review by SimonSaysDie
ET:QW is
primarily a massive multiplyer game with elements of the Quake
games. It is played like an fps with a class system and
upgrades for each class. I played it for the Xbox 360 and
we'll find out how it all held up.
The story of Quake Wars. The story barely deserves a paragraph but here it is. Basically the Strogg a group of aliens are looking for something to save their species and they crush all in their path. Unluckily for Earth they happen to be in that path and are immedietly under siege and must fight back to keep control of their planet. To do this the GDF ( I'm guessing Global Defense Force ) do a series of attack missions and defence missions to overcome the Strogg and take back the planet. These missions take place in Africa, North America, North Europe, and the Pacific. In each area three missions are done to repel the Strogg and then they move on to another area. The biggest problem with the story though is that there is no ending, you just finish the missions and then you can replay them. Maybe they're waiting until Quake 5 I don't know but for now there is no ending. The gameplay of the game. The gameplay is basically one side is attacking and trying to complete objectives the other side is defending and trying to stop the attackers. There are usuall 3-4 objectives to complete to win and the matches time limit can range from ten to thirty minutes. There is also a class system to make the game more interesting and complex. There are soldiers, medics, engineers, covert ops, and field ops. (Continued below).
